Although we had hoped to once again line the streets with color on May 9, 2020, the Montana Women’s Run Board has listened to the advice from the WHO, CDC, and state and local agencies, and determined that it will not be safe for participants and volunteers to gather downtown this year. Our mission is to promote the health and fitness of women of all ages through exercise and education. Although the choice was difficult; we strongly believe that promoting a large gathering is not in your best interest.
Please do not sit out the event this year. Instead, keep up your motivation and continue a healthy lifestyle by joining us in the Montana Women’s Run Virtual Race. This will allow you to wear your specially designed shirt and race number while walking or running a 2 or 5-mile route near your home. Be a part of the fun! Find a group of friends or family (of course, following safe social distancing) and enjoy the Women’s Run on your own terms! We will be using email, Facebook and Instagram to help you train for your Women’s Run. Look for contests and activities where you can win prizes. We will have more details available for you on how to participate in a virtual race as well as our contests in the coming days.
As an additional safety measure, rather than an in-person t-shirt pickup, we will mail t-shirts, race numbers and a s pecial gift to all registrants. We will be sending a link to the virtual race bag to each registrant as well.
Please join us Mother’s Day weekend.
Join your friends, family, co-workers, or others! Define your team by name and the number of women members in your group; then get as many of them as you can to enter the Montana Women's Run as a team.
